At Pensioners Link, we are extremely lucky and appreciative of our team of brilliant volunteers. We have around 50 volunteers working across the borough, helping us deliver our activities and services. Without our volunteer support, Pensioners Link would not exist. All of our volunteers receive full training and support. We have regular meetings with guest speakers and there are often social events that take place. Volunteering can be extremely rewarding and enjoyable - and a great way to use your skills and experience.

We require no regular commitment, you can volunteer as little or as often as you like.  Most volunteers with Pensioners Link offer two hours a week and help us with activities such as; telephone calls, reception, helping prepare resources, supporting our staff, and travelling across with borough helping to deliver our community services.

To become a volunteer, we would need you to complete an application and attend a very informal meeting with one of our coordinators.  We then request two references (either professional or personal) and we will also complete a DBS (this is a police check that's needed as you could be working with vulnerable adults). If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently running an online blog on what people think about volunteering, particularly within the charity sector, and we are asking for comments on their experiences. Click on the link (Volunteering).
